When Bethany is forced to attend the birthday party, she smashes cake on Sharra’s face

INT. LARRY’S LIVING ROOM – EVENING

The room is quiet but tense.
A faint TV hum fills the background.

LARRY stands near the window, arms crossed.

BETHANY sits on the couch scrolling on her phone.

A birthday invitation lies on the coffee table.

LARRY
Bethany… we’ve already talked about this.

BETHANY
(without looking up)
And I already told you… I’m not going.

Larry steps closer.

LARRY
You’re going. It’s a birthday party, not a war zone.

BETHANY
It is a war zone if Sharra is there.

She tosses the phone aside.

BETHANY
You know exactly how she is.

LARRY
Sometimes being the bigger person means showing up anyway.

Bethany scoffs.

BETHANY
The bigger person? With Sharra? That’s funny.

Larry picks up the invitation and hands it to her.

LARRY
Get dressed. We’re leaving in twenty minutes.

Bethany stares at him.

BETHANY
You’re serious?

LARRY
Very.

Bethany stands abruptly and storms toward the hallway.

BETHANY
Fine. But when this goes bad… don’t say I didn’t warn you.

INT. SHARRA’S HOUSE – NIGHT

The house is packed with guests.

Colorful balloons. Party lights. Music.

A big banner reads:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHARRA!

A large birthday cake sits proudly on the center table.

The door opens.

Larry and Bethany enter.

Bethany looks immediately uncomfortable.

Across the room, SHARRA notices them.

She raises an eyebrow.

SHARRA
Well… look who decided to show up.

BETHANY
Trust me. It wasn’t my idea.

Larry nudges her.

LARRY
(quietly)
Behave.

Bethany rolls her eyes.

INT. PARTY ROOM – LATER

Everyone gathers around the cake.

Phones come out to record.

ALL
Happy birthday to you…
Happy birthday to you…

Sharra smiles proudly as she blows out the candles.

Cheers erupt.

She cuts the first slice of cake.

Then she turns… and walks straight toward Bethany.

The room grows curious.

SHARRA
Here. Since you actually came…
You should have the first piece.

Bethany takes the plate slowly.

Guests begin whispering.

Larry senses trouble.

LARRY
Bethany…

Sharra smirks.

SHARRA
What? You think it’s poisoned?

A few guests laugh awkwardly.

Bethany slowly lifts the cake.

The room goes quiet.

A long pause.

Then—

SMASH!

Bethany slams the cake directly into Sharra’s face.

Frosting explodes everywhere.

Gasps fill the room.

GUEST
Oh my God!

Sharra stands frozen.

Her face is completely covered in icing.

Cake drips off her hair.

Bethany calmly wipes frosting from her hand.

BETHANY
Oops.

LARRY
Bethany…!

SHARRA
(shouting)
ARE YOU SERIOUS?!

BETHANY
You said have the first piece.

A few guests struggle to hold in laughter.

Someone snorts.

SHARRA
You ruined my birthday cake!

BETHANY
No. I just redecorated it.

Larry quickly steps between them.

LARRY
Alright. That’s enough.

Bethany shrugs.

BETHANY
You forced me to come.

She brushes frosting off her sleeve.

BETHANY
Happy birthday.

The room goes silent.

Then someone in the back quietly laughs.

Sharra stares in disbelief, frosting dripping down her face.

Larry sighs deeply.

The party… is officially ruined.
