“Bethany Confronts Larry About Car”

The accusation hit without warning.
No proof. No pause.
Just one question that could unravel everything.

1. The Charge

Bethany stormed into the room, eyes locked on Larry.

Bethany: “You gave Sharra a car. You gifted her a car, didn’t you?”

Larry looked up, stunned.
Larry: “What? No. Bethany, I didn’t give her anything like that.”

The denial came fast—but not fast enough to stop what was already building.

2. Pressure Mounts

Bethany crossed her arms, pacing.

Bethany: “Then how does she have it? Where did it come from?”

Larry stood, words colliding on the way out.
Larry: “I don’t know. I swear, I don’t.”

She leaned in, voice dropping.

Bethany: “Don’t lie to me.”

Larry rubbed his face, frustration creeping in.
Larry: “Check the paperwork. Ask anyone. I didn’t do this.”

But the room didn’t feel convinced.

3. The Message

Bethany’s phone buzzed.

She read aloud—slowly.

Bethany: “Brooke says the car’s in Sharra’s driveway. Paid for by you.”

Larry froze.
Larry: “That’s… that’s not possible.”

Bethany didn’t wait.

Bethany: “Then explain it.”

The silence between them felt loud.

4. Calling the Source

Larry grabbed his phone, pacing.

Larry (into phone): “Brooke… how did Sharra get that car?”

He stopped mid-step.

Larry: “She what?”

Bethany watched from the doorway, arms tight.

Larry lowered the phone, shaken.
Larry: “She didn’t buy it. She arranged something with the dealer. I didn’t co-sign. I didn’t pay.”

Bethany’s eyes narrowed.

5. Doubt Lingers

Bethany: “Then why does your name show up anywhere near it?”

Larry hesitated.
Larry: “I don’t know. A mistake. A mix-up. I’ll fix it.”

Bethany turned away.

Bethany: “Every time it’s ‘a mistake.’”

He stepped closer.
Larry: “Please. Believe me.”

She finally looked at him—uncertain, but listening.

6. The Next Move

Bethany grabbed her purse.

Bethany: “I’m talking to Brooke. If this isn’t a mistake…”

She didn’t finish.

Larry nodded, tense.
Larry: “I understand.”

Bethany walked out, phone already in hand—determined to find the truth.

Larry stood alone, staring at the floor.

Nothing was resolved.
Everything was at risk.
