“Co-Sign Chaos: Bethany Listens In!

The house felt too quiet for the middle of the day.
Sunlight cut through the blinds like lines of accusation.
And Bethany was about to learn what Larry had been hiding.

1. A Quiet Warning

Larry lowered his voice the moment they stepped inside.

Larry: “Brooke… don’t say anything to Bethany about the co-sign.”

It wasn’t a request. It was panic disguised as control.

Brooke hesitated, then nodded.
Brooke: “Okay… but I don’t even know the full story.”

Larry turned away, believing the moment had passed.
It hadn’t.

2. The Secret Slips

Curiosity won.

Brooke leaned toward Destiny, whispering fast.

Brooke: “Larry co-signed a deal with Sharra. Bethany doesn’t know.”

Destiny’s eyes widened.
Destiny: “You’re serious? And she has no idea?”

They didn’t notice Bethany standing nearby.
But Bethany noticed everything.

3. The Moment It Clicked

Bethany didn’t react right away.

She stood still. Jaw tight. Breathing slow.

Bethany (quietly): “So that’s what he’s been hiding.”

Then she moved—direct, controlled, unmistakable.

Larry looked up just in time to see the change in her eyes.

4. No More Secrets

Bethany stopped in front of him.

Bethany: “I’m going to Sharra’s house. I’m taking the keys.”

Larry froze.
Larry: “Bethany… I didn’t mean for you to find out like this.”

She didn’t blink.

Bethany: “You made a choice without me. Now you’ll see what that choice costs.”

There was no yelling.
That was what scared him most.

5. Witnesses to the Storm

Destiny watched from a distance.
Destiny: “She’s not backing down.”

Brooke swallowed hard.
Brooke: “I didn’t realize how bad this was… until now.”

Larry ran a hand through his hair.
He had tried to control the story.
Instead, he had ignited it.

6. Crossing the Line

Bethany grabbed the keys.

Bethany: “Pack up. We’re going. Now.”

Outside, the sun felt almost mocking in its brightness as they approached Sharra’s house.

Bethany stopped at the door, keys in hand.

Bethany (to herself): “My house. My rules.”

Larry’s heart pounded as she reached for the lock—realizing too late that this wasn’t just a confrontation.

It was a reckoning.
