Sharra Invited To Montana Baby Celebration
INT. SHARRA’S LIVING ROOM – DAY
The room is silent, save for the hum of the refrigerator. SHARRA (30s, sharp, guarded) sits on the couch, thumb hovering over her phone screen.
BROOKE (teen, skeptical) and DESTINY (teen, distracted) are sprawled on the floor, flipping through magazines.
The phone RINGS. The sound is shrill, cutting through the quiet.
Sharra stares at the screen. The name flashes: JADEN.
She swallows hard, her thumb trembling slightly before she swipes, answering.
SHARRA
(Voice tight)
Hello?
JADEN (V.O.)
(Static crackles)
Sharra! I hope I’m not catching you at a bad time.
Sharra stands up, walking toward the window. The sky outside is gray, ominous.

JADEN (V.O.)
I… I wanted to invite you, Brooke, and Destiny to Montana.
SHARRA
Montana? Jaden, we haven’t spoken in six months. What—
JADEN (V.O.)
It’s for the birth of my child.
Sharra freezes. The blood drains from her face. She turns slowly to look at the girls. They’ve stopped reading. They are watching her.
SHARRA
Did you hear that?
BROOKE
Uh… are we seriously flying to Montana? Who even goes to Montana?
SHARRA
(Into phone)
Jaden, explain. Now.
JADEN (V.O.)
(Voice drops, urgent)
I want you all there. It’s important… for the baby… for all of us.
DESTINY
Wait… you mean, like, we’re flying there? Not driving?
JADEN (V.O.)
Yes. A private flight. It’s waiting at Teterboro. Tail number N782. You need to leave now.
SHARRA
A private jet? Jaden, where did you get that kind of money?
JADEN (V.O.)
Don’t ask questions, Sharra. Just trust me. If you aren’t here… I don’t know what will happen.
The line goes DEAD.
Sharra lowers the phone slowly. Her heart is hammering against her ribs.
BROOKE
Mom? You’re scaring me. What did he say?
SHARRA
Pack your bags. Winter clothes. Only the essentials.
DESTINY
But—
SHARRA
(Snapping)
Now!
CUT TO:
EXT. PRIVATE AIRSTRIP – NIGHT
Rain lashes against the tarmac. A sleek, black GULFSTREAM JET sits idling, its engines whining like a trapped animal.
Sharra, Brooke, and Destiny hurry across the wet pavement, heads ducked. A FLIGHT ATTENDANT stands at the stairs—tall, stone-faced, wearing sunglasses despite the dark.
FLIGHT ATTENDANT
Phones.
He holds out a bag.
BROOKE
Excuse me? I need my—
FLIGHT ATTENDANT
No devices allowed on board. Mr. Jaden’s orders.
Sharra hesitates. She looks at the plane, then at her daughters. The instinct to run is screaming in her gut. But curiosity—and fear for Jaden—is louder.
She drops her phone into the bag. The girls follow suit.
INT. PRIVATE JET – MOMENTS LATER
The cabin is luxurious but cold. The windows are blacked out. There is no pilot visible. The door SEALS shut with a heavy, pressurized HISS.
DESTINY
(Whispering)
This doesn’t feel right.
SHARRA
Stay close to me. Both of you.
The plane lurches forward, accelerating too fast. Brooke grips the armrest, her knuckles white.
BROOKE
Why does he need us for a baby, Mom? He’s never even mentioned a girlfriend.
Sharra stares at the blacked-out window, seeing only her own terrified reflection.
SHARRA
I don’t think he invited us for a celebration, Brooke.
BROOKE
Then what is it?
SHARRA
(Grim)
I think he invited us as witnesses.
CUT TO:
EXT. MONTANA MOUNTAINS – DAY
A desolate landscape of endless white snow. The only sound is the wind howling through the pines.
A black SUV winds its way up a treacherous, icy road. It stops in front of a massive, brutalist concrete structure built into the side of a cliff.
It doesn’t look like a home. It looks like a fortress.
Sharra steps out of the car, the cold air biting her lungs. The girls huddle behind her.
The massive steel door creaks open.
JADEN stands there. He looks older, gaunt. His eyes are wild, darting around the empty snow as if watching for something.
JADEN
You came.
SHARRA
Where is she, Jaden? Where is the mother?
Jaden doesn’t smile. He steps aside, revealing the dark hallway behind him.
JADEN
She’s not the one you need to worry about.
He gestures for them to enter.
JADEN
The baby isn’t just born, Sharra. It has to be accepted.
DESTINY
Accepted by who?
Jaden looks at Destiny, his gaze unsettlingly intense.
JADEN
By the bloodline.
Sharra grabs the girls’ arms, pulling them back a step.
SHARRA
We’re leaving.
JADEN
(Voice low, dangerous)
You can’t. The storm just hit. The pass is closed. You’re here until it’s done.
Jaden slams the heavy steel door shut. The lock CLICKS—a sound that echoes like a gunshot in the cavernous hall.
FADE OUT.
